What should my dancer wear to their first class?

For a trial class, dancers should wear fitted, comfortable clothing that allows them to move freely. Our team will let you know if specific footwear is needed for the class you’re trying. Once enrolled, attire and footwear requirements for each class are outlined in our comprehensive Student Guide, so you’ll have everything you need to arrive prepared and ready to dance.

What happens during a free trial class?

Your dancer will join the class they’re interested in enrolling in and experience it alongside our current dancers. It’s an opportunity to meet their teacher, experience the class environment, and make sure it feels like the right fit before registering. A member of our DanceSpace team will welcome you, answer any questions, and be available to help with next steps after class.

How do I know which class is right for my dancer?

Finding the right class starts with your dancer’s age, previous dance experience, interests, and goals. Our DanceSpace team is always happy to help you explore the options and recommend classes that may be a good fit. A free trial is a great next step, giving your dancer the opportunity to experience the class, meet their teacher, and make sure it feels right before enrolling. DanceSpace follows the Adams 12 and St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD) age and grade cut-off of October 1, helping us keep dancers training with peers of a similar age and developmental stage.

What ages do you offer classes for?

DanceSpace offers classes for dancers ages 18 months to 18 years, with programs for every stage of their dance journey. From a little one experiencing movement for the first time to an advanced dancer pursuing pre-professional training, there’s a place to learn, grow, and feel at home at DanceSpace.

How do I register for a class?

Registration is completed online through our Studio All Access portal. Families can view available classes and register directly, or reach out to our DanceSpace team if you’d like help finding the right class for your dancer. If your dancer takes a trial class first, our team will also be happy to help with registration afterward.

How does tuition work?

DanceSpace tuition is paid monthly throughout the dance season. Tuition is based on your dancer’s enrolled classes and is automatically processed through your Studio All Access account each month using either ACH or the credit/debit card on file. Is the trial class really free?

Yes! Your dancer’s first trial class is completely complimentary, with no obligation to enroll. It’s simply an opportunity to experience a DanceSpace class, meet their teacher, and make sure the class feels like the right fit before registering.

Question 8

Do I commit to the full dance season when I register?

Accepted Answer

Our dance season runs August through June, giving dancers the consistency they need to build skills, confidence, and meaningful progress throughout the year. Families who need to withdraw may do so according to our withdrawal policy, with January 25 as the final withdrawal date for the 2026–2027 season. Can I watch my dancer's class?

Several of our studios feature one-way observation windows, allowing families to watch class while dancers remain focused and engaged with their teacher. Throughout the season, we also invite families into the dance room for special in-studio performances—giving dancers the opportunity to share what they’ve been learning and families a chance to see their progress firsthand.

What if my dancer misses a class?

We understand that absences happen. When available, dancers may attend an appropriate makeup class based on age, level, and class availability. How early should we arrive for class?

We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes before class begins, giving your dancer time to get settled and be ready to dance when class starts. For a first or trial class, arriving a few minutes early also gives our team a chance to welcome you, show you where to go, and answer any questions.
